Horst Wegener is an all-round talent. Following the film version of Rainer Behr’s piece Schlafende Frau (Sleeping Woman), which he created with producer Arne Schramm and the team of the WUPPERwerft in a unique interpretation, we are delighted to welcome him to under construction with not just one but two concerts. Horst’s summer project “Dach der Stadt Open Air” (Roof of the City Open Air) with its repurposed shipping containers served as an inspiration for the mobile outdoor architecture on the forecourt of the Schauspielhaus, where you’ll find a stall sustainable festival food.
Horst Wegener, Dach der Stadt and we at under construction are focusing on creating a festival that is sustainable, progressive, anti-discriminatory and fair. Horst’s music and lyrics speak for themselves. He performs with us several times, once as a duet with a cellist (acoustic set) and once as a quartet with DJ, trumpet and guitar (club set).
