Tijana Prendovic

Tijana Prendovic was born in Serbia and began her professional dance education at the age of 15. She graduated from the ballet school Lujo Davico in Belgrade, specializing in contemporary dance. In 2009, she won a gold medal at Tanzolymp a well-known contemporary and ballet dance competition in Berlin. Afterwards, she went to Amsterdam to attend Amsterdamse Hogeschool voor de Kunsten, where she graduated in 2012. Before she became a member of the dance company Oldenburg in August 2013, she danced with Krisztina de Chatel in the Dance Group Amsterdam. She switched to the Staatsstheater Mainz in the 2014/15 season and remained there until the end of the 2019/20 season. With Tanzmainz Tijana was nominated for the theatre award Der Faust (category: best dancer) in 2015. In 2017, Tanzmainz won Der Faust for the piece Fall Seven Times by Guy Nader and Maria Campos (category: best choreography ). While in the company she danced in works by Guy Weizman and Roni Haver, Sharon Eyal, Koen Augustijnen and Rosalba Torres, Eleonore Lahcky, Guy Nader and Maria Campos, Roy Assaf and others. As a freelance performer she is currently collaborating with choreographer Fabien Prioville and his Fabien Prioville Dance Company as well as teaching floorwork internationally.
