Seunghwa Baek

Performance

The Korean oboist Seunghwa Baek completed her bachelor's degree with Prof. Stefan Schilli and Prof. Günther Passin at the Mozarteum in Salzburg and her master's degree with Prof. Michael Niesemann at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen.

While still a student, she performed as a soloist in chamber music groups and with orchestras (under the direction of, among others, Prof. Dorothee Oberlinger, Prof. Hans Graf, Prof. Josef Wallnig and Mr. Gabriel Feltz) in renowned concert halls in Salzburg, Essen, Bochum, Duisburg, Ratingen, Bielefeld, Cologne and in South Korea.

Her experience as a performer encompasses classical music, jazz and traditional music. She has participated in various interdisciplinary productions including Go for Good (Marie- Lena Kaiser), BetrAchtung (Samadhyana Company) and MWINDA (Belendjwa Peter Ekemba).
