Marco Girardin
Performance
Marco Girardin is an Italian composer and flautist. Since 2017 he has been the musical director and composer of the interdisciplinary group Samadhyana Company, of which he is also a member.
As a flautist, he has performed as a soloist in chamber music groups and with orchestras including the Essen Philharmonic, Orchestra Lorenzo da Ponte and the Filarmonia Veneta, appearing in renowned theatres and concert halls such as the Teatro La Fenice in Venice, Teatro Sociale in Mantua, the Rudolf-Oetker-Halle in Bielefeld, Aalto Theater in Essen, Konzerthaus Dortmund and Konzerthaus Berlin.
For Samadhyana Company he has composed the music for numerous productions, including Juventus, Manzil, Da.Zwischen, Be there or be square, Betrachtung, Der Platz and Elevator for Anaphora. He has also composed and performed music for choreographers including Rodolpho Leoni, Marie-Lena Keiser, Aaron Samuel Davis and the Folkwang Tanzstudio.
Marco Girardin studied flute with Prof. G. Mugnuolo and Prof. G. Ott. He is currently completing a master’s degree in solo performance in the class of A.C. Heinzmann. He studied composition with Prof. S. Chinca and Prof. C. Calderoni.
